- Our own little corner of the internet -
Welcome to the Family Interaction Program. We’re glad you’re here! The internet can be a wonderful resource for families and caregivers trying to navigate parenting. But it can also be overwhelming with millions of pages of different advice and strategies. Between Google and social media, it seems like everyone wants to give their two cents about the “right way” to raise children. The truth is, there is no one right away. Every child is different and will have different needs and emotional responses. But there are lots of strategies that are based on years of scientific research that we know can help them (and you!). We have created this blog to be able to share with you evidence-based information, strategies, and resources to help you and your little ones.
Whether you are a biological parent, stepparent, grandparent, foster parent, or kinship carer, we hope this blog will help support you navigate the world of parenting, challenging behaviours, and parent-child/caregiver-child relationships.
If there is something you would like to learn more about feel free to get in touch. We would love to hear from you!
Who Are We and What Do We Do?
The team at the Family Interaction Program is made up of provisionally registered, generally registered and clinical registrar psychologists, and researchers. We are passionate about supporting the wellbeing of parents/caregivers, children, and the parent-child/caregiver-child relationship. We deliver evidence-based parenting programs and continue to research the efficacy of our services.
